COVID-19 Task Force update, July 2022.
Dallas County Health and Human Services raised its COVID-19 risk level to yellow on July 6, signifying the public to proceed cautiously as it relates to COVID-19. Using its own criteria, the Centers for Disease Control raised the county’s risk level to red on July 14.
While these developments don’t dictate any policy change at Wilshire, our task force thought it prudent to share a few reminders of ways we can work together to help break any chains of transmission as new variants continue to be extremely contagious.
Most important, if you are feeling unwell, please err on the side of caution and stay home. If you have had a known exposure, the CDC recommends masking for 10 full days and testing after day 5. The use of high-quality masks when appropriate and desired, physical distancing, staying home when feeling unwell and other interventions will help continue to curb transmission and especially protect those who are currently unvaccinated, unable to be vaccinated or who may be immunocompromised.
The task force will meet again on July 26 to continue monitoring the current conditions. Thank you in advance for sharing the responsibility in keeping us all well.
