Easter and Holy Week 2025

No matter who you are, where you’re from or where you are in life, you are welcome to celebrate Easter with us. Wilshire is an inclusive, progressive community of faith in northeast Dallas offering three worship services Easter morning — a sunrise service at White Rock Lake plus worship in our Sanctuary at 8:30 and 11 a.m. Whether you come to church twice a week or twice a year, you’re loved just the same.

Easter Sunday

Sunrise Service

April 20 | 6:30 a.m. | T. & P. Hill at White Rock Lake
Come as you are and bring the whole family as we greet the Easter sunrise with a worship service at White Rock Lake’s T. & P. Hill (map). Offered in partnership with Northway Christian Church.

Worship at Wilshire

April 20 | 8:30 & 11 a.m. | Sanctuary
Join us at 8:30 or 11 a.m. for a glorious hour of worship. Our Sanctuary shutters — closed during the season of Lent — will be opened as we celebrate the risen Christ through word and song. Sunday School for all ages is offered at 9:45 a.m.

Flowering Cross

Stop by Easter morning to place a flower into the mesh-wrapped wooden cross outside the Wilshire Sanctuary. Bring your own fresh-cut flowers or take one from a limited supply provided by the church. A favorite photo opportunity!

Holy Week

Palm Sunday

April 13 | 11 a.m. | Sanctuary
Worship on Palm Sunday will include music from Sanctuary Choir, Youth Choir, Children’s Choirs, Carillon Ringers and brass.

Maundy Thursday Service

April 17 | 7:30 p.m. | Sanctuary
Always one of the year’s most moving worship experiences, our Maundy Thursday service commemorates the Last Supper with readings and celebration of the Lord’s Supper, then carries through to the crucifixion, ending in darkened silence. Music for this year’s service will include Sanctuary Choir and Nova, our smaller adult choral group.

See our Lent page for more information about our offerings during the holy season that starts on March 5, Ash Wednesday.
