New Wilshire website debuts

Wilshire launched a new version of its website this week at wilshirebc.org. The church also released a new 3-minute video that can be seen on the site and Wilshire’s YouTube channel. While the website and video are primarily about telling our story to an external audience, especially those looking for a new church, some features of the new site will be handy for church members.

In perhaps the biggest change, all major church events are now showcased on an Events page. Clicking on a specific event opens a page with details and registration links. Users can easily add events to Apple or Google calendars and share events via social media or email.

(If you forgot the location of your committee meeting, the full church calendar can be accessed through a link in the website footer.)

The worship livestream will still be posted to the Livestream page of the site weekly. It can also be found by going directly to our YouTube channel. Links to videos from past weeks will not be archived on the website since these are easily found on YouTube. Tapestry content like Preparing for Worship and I Am Wilshire will still be posted weekly in the News & Updates blog, now found in the About section of the site.

Communications Director Mark McKenzie worked with Christen Kinard of Digital Communications to design and build the new site. Dallas-based Jeremy Pope-Levison shot and edited the new video.
