New ECLC Director Named.
Ramona Randle has been hired as director of Wilshire’s Early Childhood Learning Center. She begins work Monday, April 12.
Minister to Preschoolers Joan Hammons says, “With over 35 years experience in early childhood education, Ramona has the education and experience to foster growth and development in preschoolers and their teachers, as well as other staff members.”
Randle comes to Wilshire from the Development Day School of First Presbyterian Church in Dallas, where she served as both director and assistant director. She previously taught or held administrative roles in the day schools at Park Cities Baptist Church and University Park United Methodist Church. Randle has also worked as a counselor, consultant, professional development specialist and trainer in early childhood education.
The ECLC director search was conducted by the Weekday Education Committee along with Hammons and Associate Pastor Darren DeMent. ECLC plans to open this fall after being closed for the 2020-21 academic year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
