Masks optional for all
In consultation with the COVID-19 Advisory Task Force, Wilshire is expanding its “mask-optional” policy to include all ages, regardless of vaccination status.
Not long ago we declared masks to be optional for vaccinated people, while still requiring them for those unvaccinated, including preschoolers. But as data metrics continue to trend downward, and with DISD and Dallas County dropping mask mandates in recent days, we feel these distinctions are no longer necessary.
While preschoolers will no longer be required to mask, we will continue to ask all volunteers and childcare workers to mask for the continued assurance and safety of our preschoolers.
And while we celebrate these moments when the landscape allows us to be less restrictive, please know that our task force will continue to monitor and evaluate conditions in the days ahead.
