Pastoral Resident Maggie Morey has accepted a call to become associate minister of care, connection and formation at Countryside Community Church in Omaha, Nebraska.

She will complete her two-year Wilshire residency on Sunday, May 10. The 11 a.m. worship service that day will include a time of blessing for Maggie and her husband, Jonathan.

“I am incredibly grateful for Wilshire and the Pathways program!” Maggie said. “Over the last two years, with your care and support, I have learned and grown in my ministry. You have prepared me for this next step of my call.”

Countryside, founded in 1949, is affiliated with the United Churches of Christ. Since 2019 it has been part of of Omaha’s Tri-Faith Initiative, which brings together a synagogue, church and mosque on one campus.

Maggie came to Wilshire in 2024 after completing a Master of Divinity degree at Duke Divinity School.

Maggie said, “This is an exciting time for Jonathan and me as we move to Omaha and start new jobs, but it’s also bittersweet—it’s hard to believe that our time here is coming to an end. Come visit us in Omaha!”
