Kitchen staffer Elias Vasquez marks 15 years
Sous Chef Jose Elias Vasquez recently celebrated his 15-year anniversary on Wilshire’s kitchen staff. Elias came to Wilshire in 2006 with extensive kitchen, restaurant and food service experience. As sous chef, he assists in the management and coordination of all kitchen processes, including planning, preparation, staff communication and service. Food Services Director Elizabeth Ferguson says, “Elias’s teamwork skills are integral to the success of every Wilshire food service event. His dedication, loyalty and creativity promote the Wilshire kitchen’s high standards of quality and continuity and support our kitchen ministry’s contributions to ‘the Wilshire Way.’” Elias and his family, including his adult son Avinath, high school junior Leyvi, fourth grader Justin and first grader Hazel, are active members at Iglesia La Luz del Mundo (The Light of the World) in Garland.
