Pastoral residents Maggie Morey and Georgia McKee began work at Wilshire on Thursday, Aug. 1. Their start marks a reboot for the church’s pastoral residency program, which has been paused for a period of evaluation.

Maggie grew up in High Point, North Carolina, and comes to Wilshire from Duke Divinity School in Durham, North Carolina. She is married to Jonathan.

Georgia, originally from Frisco, graduated this spring from Wake Forest University School of Divinity in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She and her wife, Sophia, were married in June.

When Wednesday night activities resume on Aug. 21, the 6 p.m. Bible study time will be devoted to getting to know the new residents. They will also be introduced at the first Lunch & Learn on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
