Amanda Hines began her two-year term as a pastoral resident at Wilshire in Aguust 2025.
Amanda earned a Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in spiritual formation from Baylor University’s Truett Theological Seminary in 2022 and more recently worked as a project manager for Ideal Impact, a Grapevine-based consultancy for ministry and education.
She served as associate pastor for youth and community engagement at Kingwood Christian Church in Houston and completed internships in student ministry at Lubbockâs Highland Baptist Church and her home church, First Baptist in Huntsville, Alabama. Amanda is a licensed spiritual director through Truett. She also worked for Truett managing its Online Certificate Program and was a summer counselor at Glorieta Camps in New Mexico. Amanda earned a B.S. in human development and family science from Mississippi State University.
Amanda is married to Chris, and they have a corgi named Tater-Tot.
