In consultation with the COVID-19 Advisory Task Force, Wilshire’s education staff has announced an adaptation to the church’s current COVID-19 policy and protocols with a decision to host two ongoing in-person gatherings for youth and children inside the building. Specifically, this will apply to Watershed on Wednesday nights for youth and Sunday Night Live! for children.
These initial indoor activities (capped at less than one hour) will provide us an opportunity to gauge safe feasibility for slowly implementing future limited small group gatherings. Both events represent small attendance activities that can be enjoyed while well spread out.
Additionally, moving these activities indoors will help overcome two significant challenges for these age groups:
1. The ability to connect meaningfully as virtual opportunities remain less effective.
2. The need to continually cancel due to inclement weather.
Rest assured, the safe attendance of our youth and children is of utmost importance to us. Staff is dedicated to ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to during these initial re-emergent activities.
