Lori Gooden promoted, others hired in business area.
Wilshire has promoted one staffer and filled two new part-time positions as it prepares for the retirement of Director of Business Administration David Nabors. Nabors’ retirement, announced in October, takes effect at the end of February. He will be honored with a time of recognition during the Feb. 28 worship service.
Lori Gooden, Wilshire’s accounting manager since 2015, will assume a new full-time role as director of finance. Associate Pastor Doug Haney says, “Lori has worked very closely with David for several years and is well positioned to ensure a seamless transition in our finance department.”
Randy Crosland, a Wilshire member since 2004, will become part-time director of operations, supervising the areas of facilities, information technology and food service. Crosland was facilities manager at Temple Emanu-El in Dallas for 12 years and also worked at First Baptist Church of Richardson and First United Methodist Church in Lubbock.
Gooden and Crosland will assume their new roles Feb. 1 and will report to Haney.
In addition, Melissa Conway has been hired as a part-time financial assistant reporting to Gooden. Conway, the mother of Wilshire’s Abbey Adcox, worked at Skillman Church of Christ for over 25 years.
