Pastor Search Committee.
A group of 12 Wilshire members ranging in age from 16 to 79 will lead the search for the church’s fifth senior pastor. The slate of nominees for the Pastor Search Committee was approved at the Annual Church Conference on Sunday, Jan. 23.
The Personnel Committee assembled the search committee with the help of nominations made by Wilshire members; 275 people were nominated to serve, and 217 people submitted nominations. The search committee was originally planned to have nine members, but was expanded to 12 to better represent the church’s membership. Voting members of the Pastor Search Committee are:
■ Andy Brookshire grew up at Wilshire and is married to Jessica. An author, lawyer and businessman, Andy attends Ithaka Class and participates in Faith in 3D.
■ Bob Coleman and his wife, Judy, joined Wilshire in 1975. Bob attends Compass Class, is a deacon and serves on the Personnel Committee. He works as an attorney.
■ Anna Hines joined Wilshire in 2009. She is a deacon, attends Perennial Class, works with children’s Music, Missions and More and serves on the New Member Committee and the Committee on Committees. Anna is a retired human resources professional.
■ Meredith Mosley grew up at Wilshire and rejoined as an adult in 1997. She is married to Matt, and they are parents to Parker, 14. Meredith is a deacon, a Faith in 3D participant, serves on the Pathways to Ministry Committee and attends Journey Class.
■ Katie Murray, a Wilshire member since 2013, is married to Steven. They have three children ages 5 and younger. Katie attends Labyrinth Class and previously served on Wilshire’s staff as Christian Advocacy Specialist.
■ Jim Nadalini has attended Wilshire since 2001 and is married to Shannon. They are parents to four boys ranging in age from 18 to 27. Jim and Shannon taught children’s Sunday School in the past and now attend Avodah Class. Jim works as a chief technology officer.
■ Brad Russell joined Wilshire in 2017 and attends Epiphany Class with his wife, Kenda. Brad chaired the Pathways to Ministry Committee in 2021 and teaches in various adult Sunday School classes. He works for a market research and consulting firm.
■ Molly Shepard grew up at Wilshire and is married to Michael. She is a deacon, attends Ithaka Class, sings in Sanctuary Choir and Nova and chaired the Finance Committee in 2021. Molly works as a future valuation associate.
■ Colman Vigil grew up at Wilshire. He sings in Sanctuary Choir, helps lead the Intersection Class and serves on the New Member Committee and the Hospitality Ministry Team.
■ Evelyn Wilson is a sophomore at Lake Highlands High School. She is active in Wilshire’s student ministry and sings in Youth Choir and Shekinah.
■ Paula Woodbury and her husband, Jason, joined Wilshire in 1998. They are parents to Kathryn, 13, Garrett, 18, and guardians to Sher Moo Ku, 17. Paula is a deacon, serves on the Library Committee and teaches in Seekers Class.
■ Collin Yarbrough grew up at Wilshire. He is a deacon, volunteers in youth ministry and teaches 11th and 12th graders in Sunday School. Collin helps run a nonprofit bakery and is a graduate student at Southern Methodist University studying transportation and urban economics.
Per Wilshire’s bylaws, the chair of the Personnel Committee, Charles Yarbrough, and the chair of deacons, Debbie Meripolski, will serve on the search committee as non-voting, ex officio members.
