Pastor Search Committee update, Aug. 2022.

As summer comes to a close and many of our schedules pick up, we want to let you know that the Pastor Search Committee has been working diligently these past several months. Since our last update in June, we got to know the candidates better through reading their work and watching and listening to their sermons. We narrowed our candidate pool last month, and over the past few weeks we interviewed a select group of remarkable pastors via Zoom. Our conversations with these pastors left us more excited than ever about our church’s future.
We remain prayerful about the direction the Spirit is guiding us as a committee and find ourselves grateful for the openness we share and the consensus among us that has led us to this point. We are committed to prayerful discernment, and we have witnessed the Spirit’s continued presence in our conversations each week.
As the work you asked us to do comes more sharply into focus, we ask that you continue to pray for our stamina, for our relationships with one another, for our conversations, and the discernment of not only our committee, but each of our candidates. May God’s continued faithfulness to our beloved church guide our work in the days ahead. Thank you for your unwavering support, for your excitement and trust, and especially for your prayers.
