Mission Partner Spotlight: A quick look at White Rock Center of Hope – Ivan Martinez.
Located in East Dallas at 10021 Garland Road, White Rock Center of Hope is one of Wilshire’s mission partners. WRCH is guided by its mission, “Cultivating hope through basic needs and personalized empowerment,” and its vision, “An East Dallas where all thrive.” Under the capable leadership of its executive director, Dr. Greg Smith, the agency has done an excellent job in pursuit of its mission and vision.
WRCH cultivates hope through basic needs and empowerment programs including a food pantry, clothing closet, financial literacy programs and employment services. The Center is active in five East Dallas zip codes: 75214, 75218, 75223, 75228 and 75238. The impact is tremendous.
In 2022, WRCH helped 2,051 households comprised of 6,362 neighbors — as those they help are referred to by staff and volunteers — through 17,645 interactions.
The operation of White Rock Center of Hope is made possible by in-kind contributions, government grants and fundraising through individuals, foundations and churches, including Wilshire.
