Tell us about your family.
I have been married to Fred Cox for 27 years. I have three children. Christopher Bugbee lives in Austin with his wife, Heidii, and two sons, Braden and Brant. Christopher is CEO of One Star Foundation, a job similar to one he held in the White House for a year! My daughter, Katie Koshkin, is married to Jay and attends Wilshire along with my grandchildren Riley and Jace. Katie is a business and marketing teacher at J.J. Pearce High School. She is the DECA sponsor, and her students have been very successful at competitions. My third is Dr. Andrew Bugbee, who moved back to Texas last summer with his family. He is a professor of internal medicine at Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine. He is married to Scott, and they have three boys, Ty, Adrian and Reese. I’m so glad to have all my babies back in Texas! A very proud mama!
How about your work or volunteer life?
I worked as a hygienist for 42 years and loved my job. I loved educating my patients and getting to know them! I still have lunch with several patients 10 years after I retired.
What are your favorite places to travel?
I lived in Germany for three years and loved Europe. We traveled as much as possible and the beauty took my breath away everywhere we went. I saw most of the U.S.A. as a child and hope to see several places again. Our country is amazing!
What brought you to Wilshire and when?
Katie and I decided to look for a church together before Riley was born in 2008. We visited several churches, and when we came to Wilshire, we felt we were home.
Where are you engaged at Wilshire?
I am a member of Women’s Bible Class. I worked with Children’s Choirs for years, and now I sing in New Song Community Choir.
What do you think God is up to in your life right now?
I am so thankful to be learning so much about the Bible in my Sunday School class. It has helped me with some questions that I have. I know God will lead me in the right path to find the answers I need.
What’s something interesting most people would not know about you?
I would love to have a business where I go into homes and organize!
What adjectives best describe you?
Loyal, honest and happy!
