Present city: Dallas
What are some of your favorite pastimes? I love cooking, reading, running and cycling.
Where’s your favorite place to travel? It’s so hard to choose just one because I love to travel. One of my favorite places that I’ve traveled in the past few years is the island of Mallorca off the coast of Spain.
What brought you to Wilshire and when? I was dedicated, grew up and was baptized at Wilshire. After graduating from college in 2015, I returned to Dallas and reconnected with Wilshire.
Where are you engaged in Wilshire? I attend Ithaka Sunday School class. I’m on the Finance Committee and previously served on the Committee on Committees.
Tell us about your work or volunteer life. I love volunteering with CitySquare. I was introduced to CitySquare through Wilshire. My group at work also served in their food pantry every six weeks pre-covid and that brought me so much joy. There is a lot of good work going on in Dallas that The Real Estate Council (TREC) is leading, including the Dallas Catalyst Project and Dallas Collaborative for Equitable Development. I am involved with these initiatives through my professional membership with TREC. I find gratification in merging my skills and my passion to help Dallas become a more equitable and better city for all its citizens.
What’s something interesting most people wouldn’t know about you? The summer after my sophomore year of college, 2013, I biked 4,000 miles from Austin, Texas, to Anchorage, Alaska, to raise money for cancer research with an organization called Texas 4000.
