“Lighting the Way,” Wilshire’s 2020 Faith in 3-D production, will be presented on Friday and Saturday, March 6 and 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Hall at Wilshire Baptist Church.
In association with Climate Change Theatre Action, the evening will be anchored by 10 brief plays written by an array of international playwrights, interspersed with music and exposition. From wildly funny to deadly serious, the plays explore consequences and remedies concerning climate change, wildlife extinction and the devastation of natural resources.
Thirty-three Wilshire performers will combine their talents to present this theatrical event in 3-D: drama, dessert and dialogue. Cast members include: Andy Brookshire, Jessica Brookshire, Lynette DeBose, Beverley Denman, George Gagliardi, Susan Kimball, Meredith Mosley, Monica Mullins, Lisa Oney, Michael Shepard, Molly Shepard, Meredith Vachon, Jim White, Megan Wilson, Collin Yarbrough. Musicians/supporting cast includes: Darren DeMent, Holden Magee, Amanda Mintz, Alex Nadalini, Joshua Pottkotter, Nathan Ashmore, Blake Bruehl, Felix Guthrie, Judith Guthrie, Sher Moo Ku, Elliana Mitchell, Parker Mosley, David Oney, Eve Vachon, Max Vachon, Cam Wilson and Kathryn Woodbury.
The event is free and open to the public. Preschool child care will be provided only on Friday, March 6.
