Wilshire Winds in Concert

Wilshire Winds will present a concert of sacred and secular music on Sunday, June 8, at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Shana Gaines directs the volunteer group of brass, woodwind and percussion players. The concert’s theme is From Mountains to Midways, which Shana describes as “a musical visit to the spirit and spectacle of turn of the century tent meetings.” Music will include settings of American folk songs, popular songs and hymns; two circus marches; a medley of music from the film O Brother, Where Art Thou?; and more. An ice cream reception will follow in James Gallery.
