Souper Bowl of Caring

The annual Souper Bowl of Caring, benefiting the Phil Strickland Hunger Offering, will be held Sunday, Feb. 4. Join us for soup and all the fixings in Community Hall at noon. (Note: this is the Sunday before the Super Bowl game.) We encourage you to donate an amount equal to what you would spend at a nice restaurant for lunch. No reservations needed. Cash, check and credit cards accepted.

The beneficiary for this year’s event is Twelve21 Global’s Farm School Project. Through this work, Twelve21 aims to establish a sustainable food source that can benefit their two schools in Tanzania and the communities they serve for years to come. They hope to pass on this knowledge to future generations by adopting better agricultural practices. A gift of $9,000 has been made to Twelve 21 from Missions Plus funds, and we’d love to send an additional $6,000 from Souper Bowl of Caring to bring our total support to $15,000.
