Lunch with Sojourners editor Betsy Shirley
Betsy Shirley, editor in chief of Sojourners magazine, will be our guest at Wilshire on Sunday, Sept. 7. First, she will be interviewed in worship on the topic “The Press and the Pulpit: We’ve Both Got Trust Issues.” All are invited to hear more from Betsy and engage in Q&A over lunch in Community Hall.
A graduate of Yale Divinity School, Betsy has worked for Sojourners since 2015, earning awards from the Religion News Association, Associated Church Press and Evangelical Press Association. She lives in Washington, D.C.
Lunch is free; those who registered will be given priority but there may still be food available if you didn’t register. You are of course free to attend without eating. Childcare may be available for pre-K and younger; contact Minister to Preschoolers Kelly Akins (kakins@wilshirebc.org) if you didn’t register. (Registration for lunch and childcare has ended.)
