Dear Wilshire:
It is with great joy and happiness I share with you, our congregation, that we have made our budget this year! Thank you so much for the ways you have shared and given to our Unified Budget. We are now able to walk into the new year on a good footing. (Final numbers will be shared in the coming days.)
Speaking of the new year, Happy New Year! I wish glad tidings and joy to each of you. As we go into this next year together may we be a stronger community, holding onto each other through whatever good and hard times the year may bring. Let us continue the work and call given to each of us. Howard Thurman said it best:
When the song of the angels is stilled,
When the star in the sky is gone,
When the kings and princes are home,
When the shepherds are back with their flock,
The work of Christmas begins:
To find the lost,
To heal the broken,
To feed the hungry,
To release the prisoner,
To rebuild the nations,
To bring peace among others,
To make music in the heart.
May we together continue doing the hard work in 2025 of bringing the kingdom of God right here on earth.
I love you,
Timothy
