Dale Pride honored upon retirement.
Facilities Manager Dale Pride will be honored during both March 27 worship services on the occasion of his retirement. A reception for Dale and his family will be held in James Gallery from 9:45 to 10:15 a.m.
Dale, who celebrated his 25th anniversary on the Wilshire staff last summer, announced his retirement plans in January. His last day in the office was Friday, March 25.
“I’d like to thank everyone who has been so supportive of me here,” Dale says, “especially those who served on the Building and Grounds Committee. The church members in general have always been so kind to my family and me, and I really appreciate them and want to thank them all.”
Dale is looking forward to spending more time with family, including his wife, Carol, and their three adult children and four grandchildren. He says his plans also include “doing more personal ministry, getting to volunteer and do things I haven’t been able to participate in a whole lot due to working full-time.”
“Of course,” he says, “Carol has a long honey-do list at the house for me — lots of things like I do at the church.”
Dale has overseen many major projects at Wilshire, from the remodel of Community Hall to the creation of the current music wing.
Director of Operations Randy Crosland will serve as interim facilities manager.
