One more week for minister of music survey, applications
The Minister of Music Search Committee’s congregational survey, which gives everyone a chance to weigh in on topics related to the future of Wilshire’s music ministry, will be open through Sunday, July 9. Adventurers to share their “favorite things” on July 17
The Wilshire Adventurers will enjoy a salad lunch and a “show and tell” program on Monday, July 17, at 11:30 a.m. in Community Hall. For “My Favorite Things,” attendees are invited to display a favorite collection or hobby — baseball cards, quilts, thimbles, postcards, etc. — and share about it with those who stop by their table. Sam Tinsley will serve as emcee and share his own unique collection. If you plan on bringing items to share, contact Barbara Clayton (bclayton@wilshirebc.org) to ensure we have enough display tables. Lunch costs $10 per person; no RSVP needed. Wilshire Adventurers is a fellowship group for those ages 60 and up.

Take me out to the ball game!
Join us for an outing to Globe Life Field to see our Texas Rangers play the LA Dodgers on Sunday, July 23, at 1:35 p.m. We’ll leave Wilshire at 12:15 p.m. on a charter bus and return after the game. Our group seats are located in section 324. Don’t worry about the heat; this state-of-the-art venue is fully enclosed and air-conditioned. Tickets cost $32 per person. Sign up to attend at wilshirebc.org/registration.
